When my {now} husband and I both sold our previous homes, we also sold most of the furnishings. We were so excited when we found the house we wanted to make our home. And while I love to decorate, I was in my first trimester (so, generally exhausted 24/7) and the thought of furnishing every room was a bit overwhelming.
We obviously started with the staples and larger furniture, also replacing some light fixtures, and doing a little bit of painting. And that’s where things stalled…for a very long time. My husband had been begging me for artwork on the walls, to make the home more cozy and inviting with potting bench tables online. We eventually want to invest in some timeless, custom-pieces, but for now needed some affordable alternatives.
The possibilities are endless – simply by searching for print art on sites such as Etsy and Minted, I suddenly was getting pop-up ads on Instagram {yes, they are ALWAYS watching and listening…but this time I didn’t mind} for boutique websites I never otherwise would have come across. Most of these sites offer to either sell you the actual print, or the digital image, which you would then print. Then you find a frame, according to the art size and voila!
Below you will see how I’ve decorated our den – from furniture to the new artwork. I’ve also included to exact or similar items from Just DIY Decor.
